Turkey’s leading tugboat operator and shipbuilder Med Marine keeps proving its place in shipbuilding industry with successful newbuilding projects, vessel launches and deliveries.

Med Marine successfully launched another 8400DWT chemical/oil tanker at Ereğli Shipyard.

It is the 9^th 8400DWT tanker and the 21^st tanker in all deadweight categories that Med Marine  built so far. MED EMRE, with hull number ER08, is being built for YMN Tanker Marine Management and it will be the 6^th tanker with same deadweight ton capacity in the fleet.

In April 2019, newly-built slightly shorter version, MED TUNCER joined the fleet and another unit is expected to join right after MED EMRE.

12 pcs FRAMO hydraulically driven, single stage, submerged deepwell pump, type SD 150, with the capacity 350 m³/h at 110 mlc, gravity 0.8 t/m³ and viscosity 1.0 cst are installed for cargo tanks. Additionally, 2 pcs FRAMO hydraulically driven submerged deepwell pump, type SD 100, are supplied for slop tank with 100 m³/h at 110 mlc, gravity 0.8 t/m³ and viscosity 1.0 cst capacity.

In addition, Nitrogen Gas Generator system is designed in order to fill 5% ullage volume of all cargo tanks and slop tanks at the same time.

The vessel is a is capable of carrying large range of liquid cargoes, petroleum products and vegetable oils. Cargo area is divided to 12 cargo tanks by means of oil-tight corrugated transverse bulkheads and longitudinal bulkhead in CL. The vessel is also equipped with 2 slop tanks on deck. Designation of full segregation gives the vessel high flexibility. Marineline cargo tank coating has been applied to all cargo tanks.
